Now that I've introduced myself, here's a little about me: I'm a 30-something, female, marketing and communications professional who has spent nearly 15 years living, working, and playing in Washington, DC. My career has involved designing and managing the implementation of strategic communications campaigns in foreign markets; I have extensive experience in marketing and business planning covering tv, radio, print and digital. I studied marketing and international business in college, and have consulted for federal government agencies, multinational companies, and non-profits alike. Candid-art photography was a hobby, and friends and relatives exclusively enjoyed my work for nearly two decades. I started Simone Pure Photography to fill a void in the marketplace. I believe photography for dating apps requires a different style than traditional headshots, or 'lifestyle' portraits.

 

Friends often complained about not having good photos to use in dating apps, and I started doing dating photography for friends before offering my services to clients. I believe success on apps is more of an exercise in marketing yourself than in showcasing perfect portraits of yourself. As such, I take a holistic approach to my services to help clients best market themselves online. I blend a passion for candid-art photography, with expertise in marketing, and a desire to help people, to offer clients photos to help them increase their chances of finding love.

Having personally used dating apps, I have a keen understanding of the dating-app landscape, what makes a profile appealing, and why.  I'm knowledgeable about the various platforms, the trends, and I understand how frustrating the experience can be.  I readily share insights and clients often say that my insights are as or more valuable than the photos themselves. I'm more comfortable behind the camera than in front of it and completely understand and empathize with those who hate having their picture taken and those who are constantly disappointed with the way their headshots turn out. 

 

I value kindness, integrity, authenticity, and love helping clients date deliberately and strategically to find deep and meaningful connections. I'm an adventure-seeker, and into outdoor activities (tennis, hiking, camping, skiing, horseback riding), sustainability, buying local, live music, international travel, fashion, documentaries, and playing chess. I enjoy getting to know my clients and many keep in touch.
